Director of Human Resources

Why This Role Matters

The Director of Human Resources is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing people strategies that support GRC’s employees, operations, and long-term business objectives.

This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership across talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, organizational development, compliance, safety, and HR operations. The Director will also have the opportunity to support GRC’s continued international growth, including our expansion in Mexico.

What You’ll Do

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and business growth.
  • Advise and coach leaders on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee development, performance management, and engagement.
  • Strengthen GRC’s culture through effective communication, leadership development, employee recognition, and accountability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees across the organization.

Talent Management & Organizational Development

  • Lead talent acquisition, onboarding, succession planning, and employee development strategies.
  • Oversee performance management processes and partner with leaders to strengthen accountability, performance, and employee growth.
  • Support organizational change, workforce planning, leadership development, and change management initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Lead compensation and benefits programs, including salary administration, annual merit planning, market benchmarking, benefit strategy, and program administration.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure compensation practices remain competitive, equitable, sustainable, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee benefit vendor relationships and support ongoing evaluation of benefit programs.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Lead employee relations, workplace investigations, policy administration, coaching, and conflict resolution while promoting a respectful and positive workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, workers’ compensation, leave administration, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and continuously improve HR policies, practices, and processes.

HR Operations

  • Provide leadership and oversight for HR operations, including HRIS, payroll coordination, reporting, budgeting, vendor relationships, and process improvement.
  • Utilize HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends, support business decisions, and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes through technology, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Business Partnership & Mexico Expansion

  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and executive leadership on strategic business initiatives and organizational planning.
  • Support GRC’s Mexico expansion by coordinating HR-related activities, partnering with internal leaders and external advisors, assisting with workforce and compensation planning, and helping implement HR programs and policies as operations grow.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; advanced degree and/or HR certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility across multiple HR functions.
  • Manufacturing or industrial HR experience strongly preferred; multi-site or international experience is a plus.
  • Broad HR expertise across employee relations, talent management, compensation and benefits, performance management, and employment law compliance.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders, influence at all levels, and translate business needs into effective people strategies.
  • Strong communication, coaching, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using HRIS systems and HR data to support decision-making.
