Description:Looking for a role where your expertise helps students build independence and succeed in school? Were seeking a Part-Time, In-person Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the upcoming school year. This role is based in Rockford, IL and serves students ranging from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The current caseload reflects approximately 1215 students, and the position offers a consistent schedule of 15 hours per week. Youll work in a collaborative, student-centered environment, supporting students motor, sensory, and functional needs to help them fully access their learning environment and achieve greater independence both in and out of the classroom.

What youll need:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) or Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (COTA)

  • Active Illinois OT or COTA license (or eligibility to obtain)

  • Experience in a school setting (preferred)

  • Ability to complete evaluations as needed (OT)

  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and goal development

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services in alignment with IEP goals

  • Conduct student evaluations and re-evaluations as needed (OT)

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers

  • Support students in developing functional, academic, and independent living skills

  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reporting

Compensation & Benefits:

  • OT: Starting at $50.00/hour; COTA: Starting at $40.00/hour (based on experience)
