Job Description

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol - Full Time in Rockford, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine driving and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions, assisting with customer service needs, and maintaining clear communication with site leadership and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
