Summary

Learns all activities required to safely install all components as dictated by design specifications and published schedules, while efficiently utilizing resources to minimize labor, materials, and scrap.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned within the classification.

  • Strictly adhering to published Company I.S.O. guidelines and procedures.
  • Strictly adhering to published Company safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Supplying own hand tools per published list.
  • Learning the operational aspects of all equipment assigned to the area.
  • Following all safety requirements, including but not limited to lockout/tagout, confined space entry, safety belts harness, and lanyards.
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards as set by management or company policies.
  • Following written and verbal instructions of supervision and leadmen and assisting/working together with others to accomplish any given task.
  • Learning to successfully perform the following job requirements:
    • Read and interpret work instructions for component assembly, utilizing blueprints, sketches, bills of materials, or other authorized forms of instruction/documentation.
    • Safely operate tack welder and stud gun.
    • Maintain and turn in accurate daily labor reports.
    • Identify all major components, gauges, solenoids, valves, and fittings.
    • Lay out work by measuring, marking dimensions, and setting equipment per drawings.
    • Safely operate fork trucks, hand trucks, and various rigging equipment to move material or product.
    • ā€œDopeā€ pipe, apply vacuum grease, and thread pipe.
    • Prepare and perform cutting to length of all water hosing.
    • Cut, bend, and attach flexi-bar from VRT to power feedthroughs.
    • Prepare and assemble pumping system skid by setting booster in place and attaching tubing to foreline piping; setting mechanical pump in place, bolting to skid, and attaching tubing to roughing piping.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, proportions, or decimals. Thorough knowledge and understanding of electrical measurements such as voltage, current, ohms, resistance, etc.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and comprehend all forms of written and/or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to write correspondence, effectively able to present information and respond to questions from team members and supervision.
  • Ability to apply a commonsense approach and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, supervisors, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to earn and maintain forklift and overhead crane certification.

Education and Experience

Ā· High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) required.

Ā· Minimum of one (1) year related experience.
