Scope of the Position
A Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing predictive and preventative maintenance tasks to machinery and equipment for an automotive facility. This is a 3rd Shift position, Monday night through Saturday morning 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.Â
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to machinery and equipment using a variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs as needed to minimize production downtime.
- Understand and use computer software for documenting daily activities.Â
- Operate overhead crane as needed to transport equipment.
- Assist with improvement items that address customer Quality concerns or employee concerns.
- Support production and production operators to ensure the ability to produce high quality, efficient products.
- Act as troubleshooter for automation equipment and other software.Â
- Read controls, drawings and design concepts.
- Respond to maintenance emergencies with urgency and be able to work in excess of eight hours per day.Â
- Comply with all safety expectations and contribute to a safe working environment for all employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Â
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED Required.
- 3 – 5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Prior automotive experience required.
- Proven experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automation fields.Â
- Experience in basic electrical troubleshooting preferred.Â
- Craftsman or tradesmen who installs, dismantles and repairs machinery.Â
- Must also be capable of a basic to moderate level of fabrication and ability to read hydraulic / electrical prints.
- Computer experience.Â
- Ability to read and work from Blueprints.
- Strong trouble-shooting skills.
- Good working knowledge of injection molding machinery and auxiliary equipment.Â
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow work schedule.
