Major duties include scheduling, attendance, covering call outs and filling shift openings. While working in a Donation Xpress center you will be receiving donations, giving receipts, assisting with lifting items and auditing processes. Essential Functions/Duties 1. Perform all duties outlined in the Donation Xpress Attendant job description. 2. Oversee the day to day operations of multiple Donation Xpress locations. 3. Create work schedules for Donation Xpress attendants to ensure proper coverage. 4. Cover call outs and fill in shift openings as needed. 5. Maintain well groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge. 6. Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. 7. Conduct required audits in a timely manner. 8. Assist in the training of new Donation Xpress employees. 9. Assist in providing inter-departmental training as requested by Director of Donor Services. 10. Work with other departments within Retail Services to ensure an effective and efficient operation. 11. Evaluate performance of department personnel as requested including performance appraisals. 12. Compile special data as requested by the Director of Donor Services. 13. Manage time system software for all assigned employees. 14. Safety Captain for multiple locations. 15. Maintain supply inventory for multiple locations. Additional Functions/Duties 1. Maintain records such as daily reports, donor receipts or other records as needed. 2. Keep immediate supervisor informed of problems and suggestions. 3. Follow Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) procedures and other Public Protection Guidelines. 4. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Donor Services.QualificationsThe list below is representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability utilized while performing this job. 1. Knowledge of textiles articles as related to garment classification (gowns, shirts, pants, etc.). 6. Must have high degree of integrity and business ethics. 7. Must be prompt, dependable and able to work with minimal supervision. 8. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours including weekends. 9. Must not represent a direct threat to the safety and health of self, others or property. 10. Must be able to travel from one (1) Donation Xpress Center to another as needed. Education and/or Experience Previous customer service experience is preferred.Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred. Computer Skills Intermediate level- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, donor tracking. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has supervisory responsibilities but no subordinate supervisors. Special Conditions of Employment (e.g. physical or environmental requirements, irregular work schedule, required license or certification, background check) 1. Regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. 2. Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 3. Standing and walking for long period of time. 4. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull. 5. Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers. 6. Perform work outside and inside; exposure to weather conditions, dust, dirt, electricity, noise, fumes and chemicals. 7. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic). License and Certifications: Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record and current private auto insurance policy.
