GENERAL PURPOSE
The Business Intelligence Analyst supports institutional effectiveness by developing clear, accurate, and accessible data resources for the campus community. Using Power BI as the primary visualization and reporting tool, this role focuses on creating dashboards, automated reports, and data visualizations that help departments interpret information, monitor key indicators, and make informed decisions. The Analyst works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, translate questions into meaningful metrics, and ensure data is presented in a way that is useful, reliable, and easy to understand.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Design and maintain Power BI dashboards that present institutional data in clear, meaningful ways.
- Develop automated reporting processes to ensure timely and consistent delivery of key information.
- Work with departments to identify reporting needs and translate them into effective visualizations and metrics.
- Prepare data summaries, visual stories, and analyses that support planning, assessment, accreditation, and institutional effectiveness efforts.
- Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on how to interpret dashboards and use data appropriately.
- Conduct ad‑hoc analyses to support leadership inquiries and emerging institutional priorities.
- Improve data workflows and reporting processes to enhance clarity, efficiency, and usability.
- Collaborate with Academic Affairs leadership on special projects and institutional initiatives.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Education, Social Science, Data Analytics, Math, Computer Science).
- 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, institutional research, business intelligence, or a related area.
- Proficiency with Power BI and comfort working with databases or data reporting tools.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Familiarity with statistical or analytical software.
- Ability to communicate data clearly through visualizations, written summaries, and presentations.
- Experience with higher education data systems (e.g., Jenzabar) is preferred but not required.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT

SALARY INFORMATION
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring annual salary for this position is between $66,000 to $70,000. This annual salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting. Â
