GENERAL PURPOSE
The Executive Assistant to the Chief Information Officer provides comprehensive, high-level administrative and operational support to ensure the effective functioning of the CIO’s office. This role serves as a key liaison between the CIO, University leadership, campus stakeholders, and external partners, facilitating clear communication and coordinated action. The position requires sound judgment, discretion, and initiative to manage priorities, support strategic technology initiatives, and maintain efficient administrative processes in a higher education environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Chief Information Officer, including proactive calendar management, coordination of complex meetings across academic and administrative units, preparation of agendas and briefing materials, and follow-up on action items to ensure timely execution of IT initiatives and strategic priorities.
- Serve as a central liaison between the CIO’s office and campus stakeholders, including academic leadership, administrative departments, faculty, vendors, and external partners, ensuring clear, professional, and timely communication while exercising sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Support governance, compliance, and institutional planning activities by assisting with documentation, reporting, and coordination related to IT governance committees, policy development, audits, cybersecurity initiatives, and regulatory requirements relevant to higher education.
- Manage administrative operations within the Office of Information Technology, including tracking budgets, processing purchase requisitions and contracts, monitoring expenditures, coordinating onboarding/offboarding activities, and maintaining organized records in accordance with University policies and data security standards.
- Prepare and edit executive-level correspondence, presentations, and reports for internal and external audiences, including Cabinet-level meetings, Board of Trustees materials, and institutional communications, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with University goals.
- Anticipate and resolve administrative and operational needs of the CIO’s office, demonstrating initiative in problem-solving, prioritizing competing demands, improving workflows, and supporting special projects related to digital transformation, enterprise systems, and strategic technology initiatives across the University.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree

SALARY INFORMATION
When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring hourly rate for this position is $27.00 to $32.00. This hourly rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting. Â
