We are in search of a Cloud Engineer who will be vital in orchestrating cloud solutions that drive productivity and efficiency across our projects. This role requires a strong background in cloud technologies, enabling effective collaboration with our technical teams to build scalable and secure cloud infrastructure.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Migrations: Lift and Shift or Refactor on-premise applications to the cloud
Using Gitlab CI/CD to build and configure infrastructure and web applications in the cloud, using ECS, EKS, Azure container services
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, OpenTofu
CI/CD Pipeline Development: git
Ironbank: building and hardening using Ironbank
Minimum of 6 years of proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role.
The six years of experience shall include the following experience running concurrently:

Five years of experience with cloud services, specifically Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure.
Four years of experience with VMware Cloud Foundations.
Experience with multi-threaded, big data, distributed Cloud architectures and frameworks, as well as VMware vSphere VDI Infrastructure support.
Two years of experience on VMWare Virtual Private Cloud suite of product, systems consolidation and virtualization products and technology.

Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficient in scripting and automation tools, including but not limited to Python, Terraform, or Ansible.
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize cloud infrastructure and services for improved performance and cost-effectiveness.
Excellent collaborative skills to work alongside cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality cloud solutions.
Must possess a growth mindset, a strong analytical approach, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
A Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) is required.
DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II Certification with Continuing Education (CE) (GSEC, CompTIA Security+ CE, SCNP, SSCP) is required.

Security Clearance:

A current DoD Top Secret clearance is required
The candidate must meet eligibility requirements for classified information access.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current annual salary range for this position will be $165,000 to $180,000.
