Job Summary:Â We are seeking a full-time bookkeeper. This individual is responsible for managing the Ophthalmology practice's full accounting cycle, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable. This role ensures the practice maintains accurate financial records, adheres to regulatory requirements, and operates efficiently.Â
*During the 90-day introductory period, training will be on-site. Work location and arrangements will be discussed during the interview and are subject to change*

Required Education and Experience:
- Previous bookkeeping experience in a medical setting is preferred.Â
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Â

- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, over the telephone, and in person.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize with excellent time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a medical or ophthalmology setting
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks (or other accounting software) and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor daily cash flow
- Prepare the reporting as requested
- Coordinate with accountants during tax season and annual audits
- Assists in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices.Â
- Works with accountants as needed.
- Assists with maintaining control of petty cash.
- Communicates effectively with physicians, staff members, and patients in an organized, professional, and courteous manner.
- Communicate with management collaboratively about company transactions.
