About Our Family
We’re a warm, active, and down-to-earth family with three children and a sweet, senior dog. Both parents work from home in demanding careers and travel from time to time, so there are always plenty of moving pieces behind the scenes. More than anything, we’re looking for someone who can take meaningful household responsibilities off our plates so that when we’re together as a family, we can spend more of that time being present with our kids.
Our home is relaxed, welcoming, and full of activity. Our two older children are in school, while our youngest is still at home. We’re an easygoing family but we’ve also learned that our household functions best when there is someone bringing structure, organization, and thoughtful systems to the day-to-day.
There is simply a lot to manage — childcare, tidying and household resets, errands, meal prep, coordinating with cleaners and vendors, and the ongoing list of household projects. We want someone who can look at the bigger picture and help us stay ahead of it, rather than constantly feeling like we’re catching up.
We value warmth, trust, and open communication, particularly when it comes to our children. We’re looking for someone who will respect how we are raising our kids, reinforce the routines and boundaries we establish, and become a caring and trusted presence in their lives. At the same time, we want this person to feel comfortable in our home, laugh with us, and genuinely enjoy being part of our family’s day-to-day rhythm.
Ultimately, we’re hoping to find someone who makes us wonder how we ever managed without them — someone who creates more order behind the scenes and, in doing so, gives us more time and energy for what matters most.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You’re the kind of person who walks into a room and naturally notices what needs attention — and then does something about it. You have the mindset of a project manager, the organization and communication skills of a great assistant, and the warmth and emotional intelligence to work closely within a family home.
You are proactive, systems-oriented, and exceptionally organized. Rather than waiting for a detailed list, you anticipate what’s coming, identify opportunities to make things run more efficiently, and bring solutions and ideas to the family. Whether that means noticing household supplies are running low, coordinating with the cleaners, tackling an organizational project, getting ahead on errands, or helping prep meals for the week, you enjoy creating order and making life easier.
With the children, you are warm, engaged, and caring while also being comfortable providing structure and maintaining the boundaries and routines their parents have established. You respect the family's parenting approach and traditions and understand that your role is to support and reinforce them.
Most importantly, you are someone who takes real ownership. You’re efficient, resourceful, dependable, and solutions-focused, with a natural “I’ve got it” mentality. You don’t need every step spelled out for you, and you take genuine pride in becoming the person a family can confidently hand something to and know it will be handled.
