The Registered Nurse works as part of a healthcare team under the supervision of the Clinical Leads, Practice Administrator and Physician by assisting in planning and implementing care interventions while promoting high-quality patient care in a professional, efficient and safe manner.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Takes and records history and vital signs.
  • Verifying current medications at each office visit.
  • Verifying allergies at each office visit.
  • Assess patients for injury and respiratory distress
  • Maintains exam rooms by stocking necessary supplies and materials as determined by practice protocol and physician preferences. Ensure cleanliness. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination and testing of patients.
  • Prepares and administers patient injections, performs blood draws, and processes in-house labs (flu, strep, covid, UA), prepares lab samples to be sent out to Quest or LabCorp.
  • Collects, labels and processes specimens.
  • Performs IV insertion and manages migraine cocktail infusions.
  • Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatment.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure smooth clinical operations are being met and achieved.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Educates patient/family about diagnostic procedures and follow-up care.
  • Responsible for some administrative functions, such as completing health forms, entering specialist consults, sending visit notes to primary care providers.
  • Perform other related duties as directed or required.
