The 3000-square foot North Bethesda restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the Canopy by Hilton Hotel (940 Rose Avenue, Bethesda) boasting 138 seats including a 26-seat Tea Room and the patio’s 40-foot Delta Deadrise boat bar consisting of 23 seats which is scheduled to open in mid-late March
Job Overview
Lead and oversee daily bar operations with a strong emphasis on hospitality, beverage execution, andassociate development. The Bar Manager is responsible for delivering thoughtful, consistent, andelevated bar experiences while maintaining operational excellence, compliance, and financialaccountability. This role balances hands-on leadership behind the bar with ownership of servicestandards, training, and beverage execution. You are an ambassador of happiness and hospitality for all guests and associates.
Responsibilities
- Showcase an inherent desire to take care of others.• Lead daily bar operations to ensure consistent, welcoming, and high-quality guest experiences.• Serve as a visible leader during service, modeling professionalism, kindness, urgency, andattention to detail.• Execute and maintain the beverage program, including cocktail standards, menu execution,product quality, and presentation.• Support ordering, inventory management, and cost controls in alignment with companystandards and financial goals.• Train, coach, and develop associates on beverage knowledge, service standards, and hospitalityexpectations.• Support recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and performance feedback for bar associates.• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and federal, state, and localregulations related to alcohol service.• Collaborate with restaurant leadership to ensure seamless service between the bar and diningroom.• Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback, questions, or concerns.• Support broader restaurant operations as needed, including assisting on the floor during peakservice periods.• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in all bar areas.• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities and act as manager on duty for assigned shifts.• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.• Exhibits a kind, welcoming, detail-oriented approach with a strong sense of urgency.        • All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
- Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by company standards.
- Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner; maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges in the exact manner outlined by company policies and procedures.
- Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists.
- Know and comply with state liquor laws.
- Ensure established pars are maintained.
- Perform all sidework duties according to sidework schedules.
Qualifications
Education/Formal Training
Bartending training and certification, TIPS Certified

Experience
1-2 Yrs. experience bartending in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of guest service principles and bar operations.• Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and beverage program management.• Certifications in beer, wine, and/or spirits preferred.• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, associates, and leadership in both verbal and writtenforms.• Ability to read and interpret schedules, instructions, orders, and financial documents.• Manual coordination to grasp items, use bar tools, and carry trays with beverages and glassware.Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
