DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble boxes for product storage & display
- Fill, seal, tin tie, and place packaged products in boxes
- Palletize product boxes in a neat, organized, and visually appealing manner
- Prepare raw materials for packaging including, but not limited to: bags, labels, tin ties, boxes
- Visually inspect product (both finished and unfinished) for defects and proper presentation
- Clean & sanitize net weighers at the beginning and end of shifts requiring their use
- Clean & sanitize prep/packaging areas at the end of the shift
- Clean & sanitize various packaging equipment in accordance with frequency guidelines given by supervisors and/or documentation
- Cleaning bathrooms and breakroom as scheduled/assigned by the supervisor
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in all areas of the warehouse
- Complying with all certifications, regulatory requirements, and food safety standards
- Report to management any potential food safety issues and non-conforming products
- Report to management/supervisor of any unsafe conditions or acts that affect health and physical safety.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Able to lift (up to) 50 pounds on a consistent basis
- Able to work on feet for 8 or more hours
- Able to consistently reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Able to change tasks quickly and work under pressure
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated, willing to learn, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, as well as occasional Saturdays
- Maintain timely and regular attendance
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred
DEBERES Y RESPONSABILIDADES
- Ensamblar cajas para el almacenamiento y exhibición de productos
- Llenar, sellar, colocar la cinta metálica (tin tie) y empacar los productos en cajas
- Paletizar las cajas de productos de manera ordenada, organizada y visualmente atractiva
- Preparar los materiales necesarios para el empaque, incluyendo, entre otros: bolsas, etiquetas, cintas metálicas y cajas
- Inspeccionar visualmente los productos (terminados y sin terminar) para detectar defectos y verificar su presentación adecuada
- Limpiar y desinfectar las básculas al inicio y al final de los turnos en los que se utilicen
- Limpiar y desinfectar las áreas de preparación/empaque al final del turno
- Limpiar y desinfectar el equipo de empaque conforme a la frecuencia indicada por los supervisores y/o documentación
- Limpiar los baños y la sala de descanso según lo programado/asignado por el supervisor
- Mantener un ambiente de trabajo limpio y seguro en todas las áreas del almacén
- Cumplir con todas las certificaciones, requisitos regulatorios y normas de seguridad alimentaria
- Informar a la gerencia sobre cualquier problema potencial de seguridad alimentaria y productos no conformes
- Informar al supervisor o gerencia sobre condiciones o actos inseguros que puedan afectar la salud y seguridad física

REQUISITOS
- Capacidad para levantar hasta 50 libras de manera constante
- Capacidad para estar de pie durante 8 horas o más
- Capacidad para usar los brazos y manos de forma constante, subir, mantener el equilibrio, agacharse, arrodillarse o ponerse en cuclillas
- Capacidad para cambiar de tarea rápidamente y trabajar bajo presión
- Trabajo en equipo y actitud positiva
- Motivación propia, disposición para aprender y comodidad en un entorno de ritmo acelerado
- Disponibilidad para trabajar de lunes a viernes, y ocasionalmente los sábados
- Mantener una asistencia puntual y regular
