JSSA is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Weekend Bus Driver for our Ride-On contract serving the Rockville and Tobytown communities.
Position Details
- Schedule: Saturday and Sunday
- Shift: 5:00 AM to 1 PM
- Hours: 8 hours per day, 16 hours per week.
- Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour*
- Weekend Differential: *Additional $5.00 per hour
- License Required: CDL-P
- Location: Rockville, MD

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a passenger bus along designated routes and schedules.
- Assist passengers, including individuals with disabilities.
- Clearly announce stops and provide helpful customer service.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including accessibility equipment.
- Monitor vehicle condition and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Complete accident and incident reports in accordance with established guidelines.
- Maintain professionalism and composure while working in a fast-paced public transportation environment.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid CDL-P (Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement).
- Current DOT Physical
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and understand maps, schedules, and written instructions.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for riders and coworkers.
