  • The Texas Health Rockwall is seeking a CT Technologist to work full-time, covering three twelve-hour shifts from Friday to Sunday, 7 pm to 7 am.
  • Candidates must be graduates of an accredited radiologic technology program and have at least one year of experience as a radiologic technologist without ARRT-CT certification or no experience with ARRT-CT certification.
  • The position requires ARRT certification in radiologic technology and CT, as well as certification as a Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • The CT Technologist will be responsible for explaining procedures to patients, performing imaging procedures, processing images, and maintaining equipment and sanitary standards.

Here’s What You Need

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology (required) or

Associate Degree (preferred)

1 year radiologic technologist experience without ARRT-CT (required) or

No experience with ARRT-CT (required)

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) (required) and

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (required) or

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CT) (if 1 year radiology technician exp) within 12 Months (required) and

CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB (required) and

BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care (required)

What You Will Do
A Texas Health CT Technologist is responsible for explaining procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to and during exam, imaging correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols, and performing complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful CT Technologist will
  • process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, troubleshoot, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed.
  • correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
  • assess and recognize the patient’s emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and psychosocial conditions.
  • operate, care for and maintain equipment.
  • prepare room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies).
  • administer contrast media and other medications in accordance with medication administration guidelines.
  • maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors, table tops, floors).
