Production Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and a high-performing production team. This role will drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee development in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is a bilingual English/Spanish leader who can effectively communicate expectations, coach employees, and support a diverse production workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity goals.
- Monitor key metrics including PPM, PPH, OEE/TRS, absenteeism, and safety performance.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and resources to meet production demands.
- Provide hands-on leadership on the production floor and ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Coach, train, and develop team leads and production employees.
- Communicate production goals, safety requirements, quality expectations, and company policies clearly in English and Spanish as needed.
- Address production issues quickly through containment, root-cause problem solving, and corrective action.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, 5S, TPM, SMED, Kaizen, and standardized work.
- Maintain accurate KPI tracking and communicate daily performance results to leadership.
- Promote a strong safety culture and stop production when unsafe conditions are identified.
- Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, and leadership to improve operations and employee performance.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, or an industrial environment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required or strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on production experience; plastics manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Proven ability to lead teams, improve performance, and solve problems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience with production KPIs and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production systems.
