Position Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive support in various HR functions including recruiting, on-boarding, benefit communication, leave administration, HRIS maintenance and transactions, performance management, compliance, and training. The HR Coordinator will be expected to be highly organized and detail-oriented and committed to ensuring a positive employee experience. This role requires a strong understanding of HR practices and principles, specifically on benefits administration. Â The HR Coordinator will regularly collaborate with both employees and external vendors.
Essential Functions:
Support HRIS Management and Employee Life Cycle Changes
- Assist in maintaining employee records and ensuring data accuracy in the HRIS (ADP WorkforceNow)
- Maintains employee files.
- Partners with Teammate Success Specialist on processing and reviewing employee status changes.
- Generate and maintain reports related to HR metrics, as needed.
- Assist with updating organizational charts.
Benefit Support
- Develop and maintain relationships with benefit broker and carriers’ representatives.  Acts as a liaison between employees and insurance providers.
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review invoices and benefits statements to ensure accuracy
- Partner with employees to get answers to their benefit questions, including connecting them with appropriate vendor resources.
- Assist with the annual open enrollment process.
- Coordinates employee benefit programs, including but not limited to leaves of absence, COBRA, health insurance, and disability/life insurance.
- Assists in communicating benefit program changes and updates.
Recruitment support
- Collaborate with the recruitment team to coordinate interviews, follow-up with candidates, and update candidate statuses in HRIS.
- May assist with managing job postings on various platforms and creating advertising collateral.
New Employee Onboarding Support
- Schedules and coordinates new employee onboarding schedules.
- May assist with orientation and introductions.
- Complete Form I-9 and E-Verify authorizations with new hire.
- Assists with pre-employment background and drug screening.
Compliance and Confidentiality
- Stay informed on HR-related laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
- Ensure we are compliant with labor law poster requirements.
- Must always demonstrate a high level of discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
Training and Development
- Support training initiatives by coordinating sessions, tracking attendance, and managing training materials.
- Assist in reporting out of Learning Management Systems (CPD and ADP).
- Will provide support in planning and executing on a variety of employee engagement initiatives and events.
- Event and meeting support may include Town Halls, recognition events, volunteer opportunities, holiday celebrations and others.
- Will help maintain calendar of activities, in conjunction with Admin team.
- Processes department mail.
- Assists with greeting and directing visitors.
- Maintains and orders supplies for the human resources department as needed.
- Provides back-up to the Administrative and Executive teams, as needed.

Qualifications:
Experience, Education & Credentials:
- Associate’s Degree in Business, HR Management or related field preferred.Â
- A Minimum of one year experience in an HR support role is required.
- Prior experience with benefits coordination strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with HRIS systems required (ADP WorkforceNow preferred)
