What you will do
This skilled position involves installing, programming, troubleshooting, configuring, commissioning, and servicing Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control and CCTV Systems as well as other related building system products at customer sites. Including panel repair/reprogram, device replacement/repair, resolving low voltage circuit troubles and system testing. Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks. Position involves the programming of fire alarm, security, and access control system panels, but will primarily focus on networked fire alarm systems.聽

How you will do it

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform installation/programming on integrated security and fire alarm systems.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Responds to customer service calls in a timely and efficient manner, troubleshoots and repairs as needed.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Will be required to participate in after-hours service program.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Communicates with central dispatch on current work order status and receives updates on outstanding customer issues.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer and contract specification.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Completes necessary certification courses on internal and external products used.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.聽

What we look for
Required

  • 3+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems, Access Control, CCTV, and Security Systems.聽

  • This role requires a minimum of a CT L6 Electrical License.

  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.聽

  • Experience with hand tools test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer and commissioning devices.聽

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.聽

  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.

  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.聽

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.聽

  • Overnight travel may be required.聽 Demonstrates a prominent level of customer service.聽

  • Ability to lead & work well with team members.聽

  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.聽

  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.聽

  • Possess a valid driver鈥檚 license and driving record that meets company requirements.聽

  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.聽

  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.聽

  • Must always comply with safety guidelines.聽

  • Working knowledge of electronic and digital test equipment.聽

  • Basic understanding of Network concepts and architectures.聽

  • Extended knowledge of DOS and Windows.聽

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a short period of time.聽

Preferred

  • Two-year Associates Degree in Electronics; Network; Computer Science or related field.聽

  • NICET level II or ability to obtain in first year.聽

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $32.00-44.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,聽knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market聽data.)
