This position will be responsible for coordinating community-based prevention efforts throughout the PCS catchment areas, with a focus on strengthening and growing established coalitions, increasing community engagement, and supporting long-term coalition development and sustainability. This position will work closely with community partners and PCS staff to plan, implement, promote, and evaluate initiatives designed to reduce substance use and problem gaming/gambling while strengthening protective factors and reducing risk factors based on the unique needs of each community. Responsibilities include coalition coordination, project development, community education, marketing and outreach, data collection and evaluation, and building partnerships that support long-term community change. This full-time position requires reliable ability to transport self to meetings, trainings, and job sites, and flexibility to accommodate occasional evening meetings, community events, and other activities outside of regular business hours, as well as required occasional travel for conferences and training. A bachelor's degree in public health, behavioral health, human services, or a related field is preferred, and applicants should have knowledge of prevention strategies and community-based planning, including the Strategic Prevention Framework, as well as an understanding of coalition development and community engagement. Salary is commensurate with education and experience as it relates to the position.
