DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and complex repairs on semi-trucks and trailers to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with federal and state safety regulations, including requirements related to the transportation of hazardous materials in fuel tanker trailers.
- Maintain detailed repair orders documenting maintenance performed, parts used, and labor hours.
- Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to achieve team goals and share knowledge and expertise.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in truck and trailer maintenance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification or formal training in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience as a semi-truck and trailer mechanic required.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and fuel systems.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred but not required.

- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
