Objective of job:

  • Plan, implement, support, and improve logistics processes at the site in coordination with central logistics planning. 
  • Attend and plan Engineering Change activities.
  • Participate in logistics capacity and resource planning for the relevant plant. 
  • Lead simpler logistics projects and carry out logistics planning in the site and/or the carline project, participate in more complex logistics projects at the site. 
  • Plan, describe, optimize, and implement logistics processes according to the best practice approach. 

 

Strategy and standards:

  • Participate in collecting data for capacity and resource planning for the relevant plant
  • Participate in working out integrated (process) optimizations and ensure implementation by taking organization and/or EDP action.
  • Adapt and optimize the use of standard systems and processes.
  • Make simple feasibility studies and sit examinations from a logistics point of view.
  • Develop and implement action for sustainable logistics supply quality.
  • Participate in macro and micro value streams as a planning basis

 

Planning and industrial manufacture:

  • Participate in planning and implementing provision concepts in production for a carline project and/or across the sites in coordination with central logistics planning.
  • Participate in permanently optimizing the material flow at the relevant plant for a carline project and/or across the site in coordination with central logistics planning.
  • Participate in industrial manufacture workshops in coordination with central logistics planning in order to work out mutual solutions and to optimize cooperation between logistics and production.
  • Participate in defining the logistics product structure, in compiling rough packaging concepts and industrial manufacture according to the workshop concept.
  • Participate in compiling emergency plans
  • Determine necessary storage levels and storage options according to the standards/guidelines (high rack, marketing, supermarket, JIS picking, block warehouse, AULA) and their regular optimization after changes.
  • Apply standard systems and standard planning tools for storage levels, FIFO buffers, route planning and necessary Kanban buffers.
  • Show the capacity utilization of storage levels over the timeline and work out recommended action.
  • Ensure clear, updated marking of sources, reductions, routes, stops, etc, at the plant; regularly check and ensure adherence to logistics standards.
  • Identify, recommend, and carry out/check process improvements in the logistics area.
  • Contribute to the planning and optimization of timetables, delivery time window, ramp allocations, and number of exchange trailers.
  • Carrying out packing tests, transport tests, and documenting the results

Job Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years of Automotive Logistics desired
  • 1 to 2 years of Material Flow Planning
  • 1 to 2 years of Lean Production
  • Atleast 1 year of previous Project Management is a plus
