Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Perimeter Inspection in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and guests. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and congregants by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and noteworthy observations accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
