PM MECHANIC

About the Role:

The PM Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of mechanical systems through scheduled preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This position focuses on diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine inspections, and executing maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and extend machinery lifespan. The PM Mechanic collaborates closely with operations and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime. By maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and parts usage, the role supports continuous improvement initiatives and compliance with safety standards. Ultimately, the PM Mechanic contributes to operational efficiency and workplace safety by proactively managing mechanical system health.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in preventive maintenance roles.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to comply with safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical maintenance or related fields.
• Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or overtime as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment and machinery according to established protocols.
• Inspect mechanical components to identify wear, damage, or potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate tools and techniques, and execute repairs or coordinate with specialists as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, including work performed, parts used, and observations for future reference.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize maintenance tasks and support emergency repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
