 Job Title:      Account Manager

Summary/Objective
This position supports the sale of all Tenhold public safety products through distribution and directly to government agencies within the Midwest Region. This position is based in Northwest Arkansas. The Account Manager will work closely with their Team Lead to build territory relationships, learn the business, and grow market presence.
Essential Functions

- Develop and grow sales in the assigned territory by building relationships with distributors and state, local, and federal public safety and government fleet agencies.
- Monitor the competitive environment within the territory and identify opportunities and activities that support execution of Tenhold’s sales strategy.
- Support execution of the sales plan and performance goals established by the Team Lead, tracking distribution within the territory against those goals.
- Assist in analyzing distribution, customers, and application of successful product sales, applying these insights, under guidance from the Team Lead, to support new business opportunities and marketplaces.
- Work to meet and exceed assigned sales goals for the territory, participating in ongoing sales training and onboarding to build product, industry, and territory expertise.
- Responsible for developing and cultivating relationships with distributors, dealers, and public safety and government fleet agencies.
- Provide value-added training to distributor and dealer sales teams to help them increase and maintain expert knowledge on all Tenhold products.
- Support development of competitive analysis for the territory to inform Tenhold’s market share strategy.
- Executes sales activities in alignment with the strategy and direction set by the Team Lead
- Must be able to travel overnight 30%+ annually.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates largely in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Visits varying in frequency and duration will be required in the manufacturing and warehouse areas from time to time, where air tools may be in use and forklift traffic will be present.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role requiring extended time sitting; however, some walking, lifting, bending, reaching, and stooping are necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 0-2 years of professional work experience.
- Prior experience in sales, customer service, or business development is a plus.
- Interest in or exposure to public safety, law enforcement, or government fleet markets is preferred but not required.
