The poker cashier is responsible for handling financial transactions with accuracy and integrity in a fast paced environment. This role combines various functions including cashiering, list and chip attendant duties, guest service responsibilities, and podium brush duties. The poker cashier ensures the efficient flow of games and excellent guest experience by maintaining proper chip inventory, assisting with player tracking, resolving guest concerns, and supporting dealers and floor staff.
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
3. Accurately handle cash and chip transactions between guests, dealers, and cage operations.
4. Maintain chip inventory in dealer trays and replenish guest chips as needed.
5. Monitor and manage player waitlists and seating at the podium.
6. Assist with guest inquiries and provide excellent Guest Service.
7. Perform brush duties including calling names from the waiting list, table shuffling, and table balancing.
8. Complete appropriate paperwork for transactions and incidents.
9. Communicate with floor supervisors regarding issues or discrepancies.
10. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the podium and cashier stations.

1. Cashier Duties:
a. Conduct buy-ins, color-ups, and chip exchanges.
b. Balance drawer and maintain accurate records.
c. Track guest purchase for title 31 purpose.
d. Report discrepancies, variances immediately to supervisors.
a. Manage player waiting lists using player tracking systems.
b. Coordinate table seating with brush and floor staff.
c. Maintain communication with guests about table availability.
a. Maintain appropriate chip levels in dealer trays.
b. Deliver chip fills as needed for guests at tables.
c. Ensure chip security and proper documentation of fills/credits.
d. Maintain clean work area of entire poker room.
a. Greet and manage guest flow.
b. Track open tables and assist with seat assignments.
c. Communicate effectively with guests, list attendant and supervisors to balance games.

2. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
