Position Summary:
To provide the best experience for our guests with elegant style, finesse and a charming demeanor. Must maintain extensive outlet menu, wine and spirits knowledge. Duties include food service and extensive beverage preparation for the assigned outlet, which may include bar areas while maintaining proper health standards and a safe work environment.
 
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Graton Resort & Casino standards, policies, and
procedures.
3. Cash handling and payment processing.
4. Describe menu items in detail and make appropriate pairing recommendations.
5. Maintain designated areas while preparing own beverages, serving tables, and lounge area within the designated area and all other assigned areas.
6. Maintain a clean, properly stocked, and organized bar, lounge, dining area and side station including but not limited to all plastic cups, condiments, garnishes and dry goods.
7. Verify par levels for all products and equipment needs within the designated work area at the beginning of every shift. Bring shortages and/or needs to the attention of a manager on duty.
8. Observe and anticipate guests needs checking on the guest regularly. Deliver all items to the guests in a timely and accurate fashion.
9. Inform the manager on duty of any guest opportunities.
10. Keep storage liquor room organized.
11. All employees are responsible for handling stocking or extracting inventory are required to use the FIFO (first in/first out) method without exception.
12. Properly utilize cleaning supplies, including stainless steel cleaner, disinfectants and all-purpose cleaners.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. One plus (1+) year of previous Food and Beverage experience in a fast-paced environment, outgoing personality, warm and friendly, demonstrate enthusiasm and professionalism and effective listening skills.
3. Must have the ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment while maintaining proper portion control, safety, and health and service standards.
4. Must have knowledge and ability to perform proper beverage service.
5. Must maintain accurate and proper comp and cash handling procedures, using cash bank, cash
register, cash drop, slot bank and POS terminal functions in accordance with department policies.
6. Teach his/her role to new team members, as requested by management.
7. Prior experience in this position is preferred.
8. Ability to pronounce entire wine list and menu items.
9. Must have full knowledge of the sequence of service.
10. Must have knowledge of health code regulations and ensure that the designated work area is
maintained to the proper standards.
11. Must have working knowledge of outlet food and beverage menus including glossary of terms, proper portion control, preparation and ingredients of all menu items, daily specials and pricing.
12. Must have knowledge of property safety procedures and emergency evacuation procedures for the guests and team members.
13. Must be aware of the location of the SDS booklets.
14. Must have the ability to manage time effectively with minimum supervision.
15. Must have flexibility to work varying work schedules based upon business demands and scheduled events.
16. Must be able to obtain California Food Handler Certification, and Responsible Beverage Service State Certification. Must keep all current required work cards on your person during your shift.
 
Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and above 50 pounds with assistance for entirety of shift.
2. Must have the ability to withstand high and low temperatures, heat, sun, wind and rain for entirety of shift.
3. Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, grasping, and stooping for up to 85% of shift.
4. Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down ladders, stairs
and/or service ramps frequently, up to 85% of shift.
5. Ability to climb, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, sit, and stand for up to 85% of shift.
6. Require manual dexterity to operate job related equipment for entirety of shift.
7. Normal hearing range for entirety of shift.
