CITITRENDS is seeking a Distribution Center Production Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of a distribution center, ensuring that all logistics, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes run smoothly and meet organizational goals. This role involves leading a team of supervisors and staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and experience in logistics and warehouse management. The Distribution Center Production Manager will play a critical role in building a positive work culture, driving employee involvement, and supporting change management efforts within the retail organization.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, receiving, packing, shipping, and customer service
  • Schedule and oversee warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary
  • Meet regularly with warehouse Supervisors, Coordinators and Leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention
  • Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with Supply Chain and Distribution Center Leadership teams, drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages
  • Handles special projects and assignments as needed
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency or working knowledge of and experience with Lean and Kaizen principles
  • Work assignment and labor planning
  • Shift coordination and workload balancing
  • Prioritization of tasks in fast-paced environments
  • Monitoring attendance and productivity

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree + 1 year work experience or Associate’s + 4 years’ work experience or High School/GED + 6 years’ work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff
  • Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must frequently use their hands to handle or feel objects and must be able to speak and hear clearly.
  • The employee may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
  • The employee must be able to reach up to a height of six feet and down to six inches to place merchandise.
  • The employee must be able to read and understand messages on scanners and pick modules.
  • The employee must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

General Information
