How you'll make an impact
As a Property Claims & Subrogation Representative, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional claims service while supporting efficient claim resolution and recovery efforts.
- Manage a caseload of first-party property claims with exposure generally under $10,000.
- Review claim documentation and supporting information to determine appropriate claim handling and resolution.
- Coordinate with policyholders, clients, carriers, vendors, and other parties throughout the claims process.
- Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities to maximize recovery potential.
- Provide timely, professional, and empathetic customer service while assisting claimants through the claims process.
- Maintain accurate claim documentation and ensure all file activity is recorded in a timely manner.
- Handle claims in accordance with client guidelines, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to support positive claim outcomes and customer satisfaction.
About You
Ideal candidates for this position will have:
- Claims Background: Experience in property claims, claims administration, customer service, insurance operations, subrogation, or related insurance functions.
- Jurisdictional Experience: United States
- Licensing: Required
As a key member of our Claims team, you will:
- Investigate, review, and resolve routine first-party property claims while ensuring quality service and timely resolution.
- Support subrogation activities by gathering documentation, communicating with responsible parties and carriers, and assisting with recovery efforts.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure a positive claims experience.
- Prioritize workload effectively while managing multiple claims and tasks simultaneously.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support claim decisions and customer outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in claims, insurance, customer service, administrative support, or a related field.
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business systems.
- Ability to learn and apply claims handling procedures, client requirements, and industry best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
- Experience handling property claims and/or subrogation claims.
- Experience working in the insurance, claims, risk management, or customer service industry.
- Claims-related licensing or industry certifications.
