The Behavioral Health Professional is an active member of the primary care treatment team. Knowledge of the use of therapeutic relationship to foster patient involvement. Familiarity with brief therapy theories/techniques and therapeutic process. Understanding of techniques for facilitating client motivation to change behavior. Knowledge of health and social issues impacting diverse clients and their well-being. Knowledge of state and federal rules, regulations and requirements related to health care Skills: Skill in providing evidence based practices Skill in crisis intervention. Skill in client advocacy.
