Position Summary:
The Program Coordinator Assistant - Closer will be the lead staff member at closing and will assist with daily needs and activities throughout the evening. You will report directly to the Assistant Program Manager. In addition, this position will perform a wide range of duties including but not limited to the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Â
- Primary staff member available for participants to end the day;
- Facilitate and coordinate participant activities, including but not limited to, managing fire pit in the evenings and responsible for closing down fire pit. Locking up at the end of the night or in the event of inclement weather;
- Attend all training sessions provided for our department and maintain relevant certifications (i.e. ropes course, lifeguarding, adaptive, paddling, kayak rescue, and CPR/First aid);
- Enforce rules and policies at the facility and waterfront to maintain the safety of all guests.
- Work with staff and volunteers during activities.
- Required to drive (vans and/or pontoon boats), must show a valid driver’s license.
- Assist with program activities including help with setup/cleanup, and participation;
- Coordinate with any late afternoon/evening vendors and activities on the schedule;
- Assist Program Coordinator Assistant with kayak safety, leading kayak trips and any/all waterfront needs.
- Remain flexible in daily activities: zoo, store trips, ropes course, hiking, etc.
- Complete end of day checklist;
- Other duties as needed to maintain the highest quality of standards that ensure service member, and service member family’s safety and success are first priority.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

- Must be 21 + years old
- Veterans / Military spouses encouraged to apply
- Excellent organizational skills, communication skills and creativity
- Professional, polite and articulate written and verbal skills
- Ability to think, work strategically and forward think (what needs to be completed for the next day) – while also being efficient and juggling many things at once
