Are you ready to lead a critical product line that powers the future of aviation? We are seeking a Senior Manager – Product Manager (PM) within Power Transmission Systems, driving performance and strategy across the full product lifecycle—from concept through operational excellence. This role will define and drive execution of Strategic Road Maps in partnership with Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain.

Power Transmission Systems encompasses Rotorcraft Drive and Tilt-Rotor Drive Systems, Lift Fan Driveshafts and Power Take off shafts for Military and Commercial Aircraft applications.

This is an onsite position based in Rome, NY. Travel expectation in support of the business as required ~10%.

What You Will Do

  • Systemic improvement to Operational Performance and Product Cost.
  • Develop and implement Product and Operations Technology.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support Operational Performance and Product Costs goals.
  • Develop individual and group leaders through effective coaching, advising, and mentorship.
  • Develop and review short- and long-term organizational goals and objectives to ensure alignment with broader organizational strategies.
  • Deliver operational and financial objectives for all functional areas, as it relates to responsible product lines, manage and mitigate risks to the business.
  • Represent the organization to internal and external stakeholders to present a positive image of the organization

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in program management, product development, or operations, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry
  • Excellent communications and team building skills; able to effectively communicate vision across the Integrated Product Team
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams through complex technical, operational and programmatic challenges
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and ACE/CORE process techniques is preferred.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
