Position Summary

The Physician Liaison works under the Executive VP and Chief of Patient Care Services and uses the nursing process to guide and improve outcomes for defined patient populations. The role involves:

  • Educating, consulting, and assisting in patient management.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team (physicians, nurses, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, dietary, rehab, and others).
  • Identifying opportunities to improve patient care, outcomes, and cost-effectiveness using current research and literature.
  • Supporting the mission, vision, and objectives of Floyd Medical Center.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nursing program.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Licensure / Certifications

  • Required: Active RN license in the State of Georgia.
  • Preferred:
    • Participation in a specialty organization.
    • Specialty certification.

Experience

  • Required: Minimum of 10 years working with the assigned patient population.
