Location: Rome, GA

Position Overview

Birch Agency is seeking dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support students and families across school and community settings in Rome, Georgia. We currently have multiple in-person opportunities available within elementary schools, a high school setting, and early intervention/community-based programs.

These positions offer the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting communication development, academic success, and functional life skills for children and adolescents across a variety of age groups and needs.

Current Opportunities Available

  • 4 Elementary School Positions

    • Serving students in Pre-K through 5th grade

  • 1 High School Position

    • Serving students in grades 912

  • 2 Early Intervention / Community-Based Positions

    • Supporting children and families through Babies Cant Wait and community services

Caseload Information

  • Full-time caseloads: Approximately 45 students maximum (may vary slightly based on assignment)

  • Part-time caseloads: Approximately 2535 students maximum

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student or client goals.

  • Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings using evidence-based practices.

  • Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and team conferences as appropriate.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.

  • Support students with a range of communication needs including articulation, language, fluency, pragmatics, and social communication skills.

  • For community-based positions, provide family-centered support and coaching within natural environments.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.

  • Active Georgia SLP license required.

  • ASHA CCCs preferred (Clinical Fellows welcome to apply).

  • Previous pediatric, school-based, or early intervention experience preferred.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
