Job Title: Customer Service Supervisor

Reporting to General Manager

Location: Romeoville IL

Status: Full Time M-F with Weekend Availability as per company needs

Starting Rate: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 (Contingent on Qualifications)


Job Description: 

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Customer Service Supervisor to lead our Customer Service & Shipping Coordinator Team in a fast-paced 3PL logistics and crossdocking facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to enhance warehouse operations, drive operational efficiency, and optimize the flow of goods between our customers, carriers, and internal teams. This role will involve direct oversight of customer interactions, the coordination of shipping operations, and the development of procedures to ensure seamless logistics operations in alignment with our business objectives. This role will also play a critical role in upholding the company’s core mission by actively participating in customer meetings and fostering strong customer relationships.


Job Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise Customer Service Representatives and Shipping/Receiving Clerks
  • Oversee daily operations of the shipping/receiving administrative office
  • Provide clear expectations, support and oversight to Customer Service Representatives (CSRs)
  • Communicate with customers on order and inventory status – manage customer needs
  • Manage, and communicate effectively with, carrier drivers to facilitate a seamless delivery pickup process.
  • carrier drivers delivering and picking up freight
  • Partner with warehouse operations leaders to support on-time deliveries and pickups
  • Ensure WMS and TMS system integrity to customer orders and inventories
  • Monitor and ensure operational quality, efficiency, performance and quality control
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entered in the system, and manage data and spreadsheets to record and track shipment details.
  • Maintain organized and efficient filing systems for all shipping and receiving documents.
  • Ensure that all shipping and receiving records are properly filed for easy retrieval.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members to achieve common goals.
  • Coordinate and schedule shipping activities to optimize efficiency.
  • Process shipping and receiving documents and input information from the bill of lading
  • Ensure all orders are fulfilled and shipped on-time
  • Track team KPIs and conduct quality control checks for operational control and performance
  • Drive collaboration, teamwork, accountability and results

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of office experience in a 3PL - Warehousing Role
  • 3-5 years of Inventory and PO processes in a Tier 1 or 2 WMS
  • 3-5 years managing a team of CSR/ Shipping & Receiving Clerks
  • Timecard management experience, preferably within ADP WFN/ Paylocity HRIS 
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Highly organized with a strong focus on detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced logistics environment while maintaining a customer-centric mindset.
