RJW is seeking a Senior Director, Associate Relations to lead a critical part of our People Operations agenda across the business. This role will shape how associate relations issues are handled across our warehouse operations, helping leaders respond to complex situations with consistency, sound judgment, and strong process discipline.

This is an opportunity for an experienced associate relations leader to have broad influence across a dynamic operational environment. You will work closely with senior HR leaders, local HRBPs, and site leadership to strengthen investigation quality, improve decision consistency, and support a positive, direct employee relations culture across the organization.

What the person will do

  • Lead associate relations strategy across RJW operations.
  • Advise on complex investigations and help ensure the right steps are followed from intake through resolution.
  • Guide leaders and HR partners on consistent, well-grounded corrective action decisions.
  • Serve as a senior advisor on union-related activity, with a focus on helping the business maintain a union-free environment through strong associate relations practices.
  • Partner closely with HR Directors and site HRBPs across warehouse locations.
  • Lead a small team focused on investigations support and capability building.
  • Coach HR and line managers to conduct investigations thoroughly, fairly, and consistently.
  • Help identify patterns, strengthen leadership practice, and reduce employee relations risk across operations.

What the person brings

  • Senior-level experience in associate relations, employee relations, or labor relations.
  • Strong experience supporting union avoidance strategy and advising during unionization activity.
  • Deep expertise in complex investigations and employee relations case management.
  • A practical, credible approach to coaching leaders through difficult people issues.
  • Experience working with industrial or hourly workforces.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

Preferred:

  • Distribution center experience.
  • Experience supporting large operational teams across multiple locations.
  • Experience developing investigation standards and improving consistency in field decision-making.

This role works very closely with HR Directors, local HRBPs, and operational leaders across warehouse environments. Success requires strong judgment, comfort with sensitive and high-stakes situations, and the ability to coach leaders while maintaining consistency and credibility across multiple sites.
