What You'll Do

As a Custodian, your day will be active, varied, and essential. You'll help ensure facilities are clean, safe, and ready for public use. Typical responsibilities include:

• Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, offices, locker rooms, and common areas

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and maintaining floors and surfaces

• Emptying trash and restocking supplies

• Traveling between city facilities to perform custodial duties

• Assisting with minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or painting

• Supporting event setup and takedown

• Maintaining equipment and reporting any issues or safety concerns

• Assisting with pool maintenance and cleaning equipment at aquatic facilities

Schedule

This Custodian position offers a flexible part-time schedule of 20–30 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays. 

What You'll Need

To succeed as a Custodian, you should bring:

• Minimum age of 16 (18+ preferred for driving duties)

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)

• A valid Utah driver's license

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

• Physical ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stay active throughout your shift

• A strong work ethic and attention to detail

Previous custodial experience is helpful, but not required-what matters most is your reliability and willingness to learn.
