JOB TITLE: Food Runner

DEPARTMENT: Kitchen

REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Manager

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Food Runner is responsible for delivering the food from the kitchen to a customer in a restaurant. They are also responsible for ensuring that each customer receives the correct order.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Deliver food orders to a variety of customers in a timely manner
2. Occasionally check on customers to handle any impromptu requests or issues
3. Assist the kitchen and service staff as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation, and timing to optimize our guests dining experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler license
2. Working knowledge of sanitation procedures
3. Must have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays during busy season

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) pounds
2. Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency

1. Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
2. Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property to include weekends and holidays as needed.
