About the Role:

Step into the dynamic world of finance at Mandelbaum Barrett! We’re seeking an exceptional Accounting Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience, the chance to strengthen our financial operations, and the opportunity to contribute to our success story. 


Start Date: June 1, 2026

This in-person role offers a flexible Monday–Friday schedule of approximately 16–24 hours per week between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. We’re happy to accommodate class schedules or other commitments.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform bookkeeping duties and maintain accurate financial records, including substantial data entry.
  • Manage and update data on financial statements.
  • Support the Accounts Payable Team with daily operations and projects.
  • Research outstanding checks.
  • Review and process invoices submitted via SurePoint.
  • Prepare account and bank reconciliations.
  • Record financial transactions accurately.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in college, majoring in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, comfortable with technology, and quick learner of new software and applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work, manage workflow efficiently, and maintain accuracy.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.
  • Self-starter with a hands-on, action-oriented approach who thrives in a team-oriented environment.


Compensation & Benefits: This position offers an hourly rate of $18.00 to $20.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications. Part-time employees are eligible for PTO, sick leave, holiday pay, bereavement leave, 401(k), and Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The posted salary range reflects the base pay for this position.
