Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients on tax planning, estate planning, and the administration of trusts and estates.
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  • Advise clients on estate and gift tax issues, including strategies for minimizing taxes.
  • Assist with probate and trust administration matters, including the filing of tax returns and preparation of financial reports.
  • Stay current on changes in tax laws, estate planning, and related legal developments.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals (e.g., financial planners, accountants) to provide comprehensive service to clients.

Experience you will need:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • 2+ years of experience in tax law, trust, and estate planning.
  • Active New Jersey law license (required); New York license (preferred).
  • LLM a plus, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of estate and gift taxation, fiduciary duties, and probate processes.
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and client service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and team-oriented approach.
