What you'll do


As a Belt Fabricator Technician, you’ll play a critical role in fabricating, installing, and repairing conveyor belts and related components—either in our shop or at customer sites. Your work directly supports our customers’ uptime, safety, and productivity.


 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Fabricating, repairing, and assembling conveyor belts and belt components
  • Installing and vulcanizing lightweight conveyor belting
  • Reading and verifying precise measurements to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Receiving, verifying, and organizing incoming materials and supplies
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
  • Safely operating hand tools, shop equipment, and heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts)
  • Detecting and reporting equipment issues or unsafe conditions
  • Representing Belt Power professionally at all times
  • Wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Supporting deliveries, pickups, and additional duties as needed

Requirements

What we're looking for


You don’t need to know everything on day one—we’ll train the right person. What matters most is your mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.


Required Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure and work with precise measurements
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in tight spaces or at heights
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends when needed
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience:

  • Conveyor, maintenance, or belt technician experience
  • Desire to learn new fabrication processes and systems

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed primarily in a fabrication shop environment
  • Moderate noise levels with strong safety protocols
  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting
  • Use of hands, arms, shoulders, and tools for extended periods
  • Operation of heavy equipment and hand tools

Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed
