Position Summary:

The Laser Operator I is responsible for assisting in the setup and operation of Trumpf sheet lasers and/or punch turrets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This entry-level role focuses on developing technical skills while supporting production efficiency, quality, and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with machine set-up, part nesting, and operation of laser and/or turret equipment. 
  • Load raw materials and assist in unloading finished parts. 
  • Inspect parts for quality and accuracy, reporting issues to supervisors. 
  • Make basic corrections and notations on work routers as instructed. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area. 
  • Follow all safety procedures and standard operating practices. 
  • Support team members and production goals as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication preferred.

  • Ability to learn blueprint reading and machine operations. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
