Position Overview

The Compliance Officer – Loan Compliance, supports the implementation of an effective and proactive compliance program related to all aspects of lending to ensure organizational adherence to regulatory requirements. Applies creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative and practical solutions. Ensures compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations governing the Bank's operations to prevent penalties, liabilities, or other punitive actions against the Bank, its directors, or employees.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintains a competent level of expertise and knowledge of the requirements of the various laws, regulations and rulings governing the Bank's activities. Keeps abreast of regulatory updates through reading, classes, seminars, etc.

  • Assists with all lending including mortgage, consumer and commercial lending -related Compliance initiatives, including Regulatory Change Management Projects, new product reviews, software change updates and reviews and Policy and Procedure approvals.

  • Reviews and tracks WM complaints, along with effective root cause and trending analysis.

  • Assists with Validations of Internal Review Findings.

  • Volunteers for project work. Handles other duties as assigned. Participates on projects, audits, exams etc. Assists with multiple primary or significant Compliance functions.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of banking experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • CRCM Preferred

  • One or more years of mortgage regulatory compliance and/or internal audit experience in a financial institution

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $85,000 –$110,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
