Position Summary

The Senior BSA Specialist – Investigations Unit is a leader within the Investigations team and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the SAM process.  This role is seen as a leader by their peers, has a working knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and an overall understanding of banking products and services, preferably holds industry certifications, and is able to fill-in for individuals when needed.  They develop and maintain procedures, provide training, make recommendations managing to identified KPI’s, and is relied on for special projects. 

What You'll Do

  • Conduct specialized case investigations individually and maintain identified KPI’s.

  • Investigations and Suspicious Activity quality control reviews and approvals, when necessary.

  • Assist the BSA Investigations Manager in the daily responsibilities of managing the Investigations unit, deliver on KPI expectations, meet Compliance and Corporate goals, and meet regulatory expectations.

  • Manage and coordinate training for new hires and provide coaching for the BSA Investigators.

  • Exam and Audit assistance.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years banking experience and 3-5 years BSA experience.

  • Working knowledge of BSA, AML, and OFAC laws, regulations and guidance.

  • Strong communication, problem solving and time management skills.

  • CAMS certified or in the process of obtaining CAMS certification or other BSA/Fraud related certification.

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

The estimated salary range for this role is $71,000-$92,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
