Warehouse Operations Supervisor – Chicago, IL
Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 Annually | Full-Time | Exempt
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (additional hours as business needs require)

About the Role

Legacy Transportation is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operations Supervisor to lead daily operations at our Chicago facility. This role is responsible for overseeing warehouse personnel, coordinating warehousing activities, equipment asset recovery, inventory control, and crating operations. The ideal candidate is a working leader who enjoys being actively involved in day-to-day operations while developing employees, driving efficiency, and maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily warehouse, crating, asset recovery, and inventory operations.

• Supervise, train, coach, and develop warehouse personnel.

• Assign daily workloads and monitor productivity, quality, and performance.

• Coordinate shipping, receiving, inventory control, storage, and material handling activities.

• Ensure inventory accuracy and maintain warehouse organization.

• Monitor workflow and staffing levels to meet operational goals.

• Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and enforce company safety policies.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.

• Complete operational reports, documentation, and communicate effectively with management and customers.

Salary Description

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or related operations.• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.• Experience supervising teams, productivity, and operational performance.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).• Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance.• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.• Ability to obtain forklift certification.• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
