We are seeking an experienced phlebotomist who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. Â The Clinical Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist supports our providers by performing phlebotomy, specimen processing, patient preparation, and minor clinical procedures. This role helps ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and excellent patient care.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalentÂ
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, laboratory, or patient care settingÂ
- Previous phlebotomy experience, including venipuncture and specimen collectionÂ
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomyÂ
- Experience documenting patient information in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Â
- Strong communication, organization, and computer skillsÂ
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environmentÂ
- Ability to work independently and collaborativelyÂ
Preferred
- Completion of a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, Clinical Laboratory Assistant, or related healthcare training programÂ
- Current Phlebotomy Certification (CPT, PBT, or equivalent)Â
- 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience in a clinic, medical office, hospital, or laboratoryÂ
- Dermatology or specialty clinic experienceÂ
- Experience with specimen processing, patch testing, suture removal, or assisting with minor proceduresÂ
What You'll Do
- Perform venipuncture and blood collection while ensuring patient comfort and safetyÂ
- Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing and transportÂ
- Prepare patients for blood draws, patch testing, and suture removal appointmentsÂ
- Perform suture and staple removalsÂ
- Apply and document allergy patch testingÂ
- Verify patient information and accurately document visits in the EMRÂ
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked laboratory and clinical areasÂ
- Monitor laboratory inventory and assist with ordering suppliesÂ
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and safety protocolsÂ
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and staffÂ
- Travel to satellite clinic locations as neededÂ
- Perform other duties as assignedÂ

Physical Requirements
This position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and frequent use of hands throughout the workday. The employee must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and perform the visual requirements necessary for safe patient care.
