Homemaker

Safeway Home Healthcare is seeking dependable, organized, and compassionate Homemakers to provide supportive in-home services to individuals living in the Twin Cities and North Metro areas. This role focuses on helping individuals maintain a clean, safe, organized, and comfortable home environment while supporting independence and quality of life. 

The ideal candidate is reliable, flexible, has strong communication skills, and is willing to assist with shift coverage, including occasional weekends and last-minute needs. 

Reliable transportation is required, as services are provided throughout the metro area, including one recurring weekly shift in Maple Grove. 

Responsibilities 

Responsibilities may include: 

• Light housekeeping and maintaining a clean living environment 

• Laundry and linen changes 

• Meal preparation and kitchen cleanup 

• Grocery shopping and errands 

• Organizing household spaces 

• Assisting with household routines and daily structure 

• Supporting individuals in maintaining a safe and healthy home environment 

• Reporting concerns or changes to leadership appropriately 

• Documenting services accurately and on time 

• Communicating professionally with clients, families, and team members 

• Assisting with shift coverage as needed 

Schedule & Coverage Expectations 

• Services are primarily located in the Twin Cities and North Metro area 

• Includes one recurring 5-hour weekly shift in Maple Grove 

• Must be willing to: 

• Work occasional weekends 

• Pick up additional shifts when available 

• Assist with coverage for staff call-outs or scheduling gaps 

• Travel between client locations as needed 

Qualifications 

Preferred qualifications include: 

• Previous homemaking, cleaning, customer service, or caregiving experience 

• Experience as a PCA, CNA, DSP, homemaker, or similar support role is helpful 

• Understanding of 245D services and professional boundaries preferred 

• Strong attendance and reliability 

• Good communication and organizational skills 

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively 

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license 

• Ability to adapt to different client personalities and home environments
