You will be responsible for internal and external customer satisfaction through effective communication, innovation, and hands‑on technical problem‑solving. In this on‑site role at the Roseville Service Center, you will provide hardware and software support for a wide range of Keysight instruments. Within your area of expertise, you will clarify issues, analyze root causes, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions while partnering closely with field staff and customers.  


Responsibilities


What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Diagnose and repair Keysight electronic instruments, including oscilloscopes, high‑performance bit error ratio testers (BERTs), signal sources/generators, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Perform calibrations and verifications to documented procedures; adjust, align, and validate performance to specification; complete calibration records and certificates accurately.
  • Own customer satisfaction for assigned units by communicating status, setting clear expectations on turnaround, and closing the loop with high‑quality documentation.
  • Troubleshoot to component/module level using schematics, block diagrams, service notes, test plans, and diagnostic software.
  • Use Keysight systems and tools (e.g., lab test stations, quality records, service/repair and calibration applications) to document work, parts usage, and results.  
  • Collaborate with field teams and engineers to clarify problem statements, share findings, and drive corrective actions.
  • Maintain an ESD‑safe, 5S laboratory environment; follow safety and quality procedures; support internal/external audits and continuous improvement. (Quality and training expectations aligned to Keysight Calibration System Manual.
  • Support knowledge transfer by documenting methods, mentoring peers, and participating in training plans for new capabilities.

 


Qualifications


Basic Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, military electronics training, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
  • 2+ years in electronic calibration and/or repair of RF, microwave, or high‑speed digital test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, BERTs).
  • Ability to interpret schematics and service documentation; strong analog/RF or high‑speed digital fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with test & measurement practices, precision measurement, and uncertainty awareness; familiarity with lab quality systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with customers and cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to work on‑site in an ESD‑controlled lab and lift/position instruments as required.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an ISO‑17025‑aligned calibration environment and with Keysight instruments/procedures.
  • Hands‑on with soldering/rework, connectorization (RF/optical), and mechanical alignment.
  • Knowledge of high‑speed digital/optical test (BERTs, clock recovery, jitter/noise analysis) and RF chain troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Keysight service systems and quality reporting workflows.
  • Lean/6S/continuous improvement experience; ability to create work instructions and train others.

 

Pay Range:

 

USD $53,430.00 - USD $89,050.00 Year
