MRI Technologist -Per Diem

Responsibilities:

•Performs cardiac and a variety of MRI procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative.

•The technologist will produce and evaluate MRI images for technical quality, properly identifies images and patient and effectively uses judgment for protocols and procedures.

•Responsible for the proper use of the RIS (scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking , proper completion of exams).

•Responsible for all other equipment used in MR (e.g. monitoring equipment, stereotactic biopsy equipment and any other devices used in MRI).

•Adheres to St. Francis Hospital and departmental policies and procedures and JCAHO/ regulatory agency requirements. Demonstrates and promotes service excellence at all times.

Requirements:

•NYS radiographer's license

•Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technology

•Knowledge and working experience in Cardiac MRI required.
