Material Handler

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team in Roswell, GA. This position plays a crucial role in our manufacturing and warehouse operations by ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials and products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring that materials are delivered to the appropriate locations in a timely manner. This role involves operating machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to safety guidelines. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Label and store materials in designated locations.
• Pick and pack materials for production and shipment.
• Load and unload trucks using material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and storage areas.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to fulfill orders and meet production demands.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a warehouse setting.
• International shipping and export compliance experience.

Requirements and Work Environment:

• Due to the nature of PBS Aerospace’s business as a defense contractor, this position is limited to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, as defined under applicable federal regulations.
• Typically, in a manufacturing facility the environment can be noisy and requires the use of protective gear.
• The role may involve standing, walking, and lifting, and can be physically demanding.
• Able to lift to 50 pounds.
